Occupational Therapy (OT) plays a crucial role in helping children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and cerebral palsy improve their ability to function independently in daily life.

Research Insight:

According to the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), “Occupational therapy practitioners enable children to participate fully in school and social activities, improve functional skills, and adapt to their environments, promoting independence and reducing the impact of functional impairments.” Research also shows that OT can improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and essential activities of daily living (ADLs), such as eating, dressing, and grooming (Bundy, 2011).
